Hampshire batsman Neil McKenzie hit a match-winning maiden LV= County Championship hundred – then celebrated by singing the team’s victory song for the first time.
"I had the lyrics photocopied for me but will know them for next time," smiled the South African after his unbeaten 115 led Hampshire to their first win of the season in all competitions, against leaders Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
McKenzie hit Notts seamer Andre Adams for three sixes during his run-a-ball ninth wicket stand of 56 with Rangana Herath as Hampshire won by two wickets, with seven balls to spare.
