Hampshire are considering a second Caribbean trip in two months.

Manager Giles White visited Barbados earlier this week after the county were invited to take part in a tournament also involving Trinidad & Tobago and other counties in March.

He said: "I'm impressed with what I saw but it comes down to a financial decision and what's best for the club.

"Yorkshire, Derby and Essex took part in a similar competition last year and the feedback they've given is that it worked well for them."

"Barbados are keen for us to take part but there are other options."

Hampshire's last two pre-season trips have been to Cape Town.

"We do need a change, a change of scenery and a change in venue," admitted White.

Hampshire are expected to announce their pre-season itinerary by the end of the month.
