Hampshire teenager Danny Briggs took the last two wickets to fall this morning as the England Performance Programme won the last match of their Australia tour.

The slow left-armer finished with excellent match figures of 7 for 106 as Western Australia were bowled out for 199 in their second innings, having begun the final day on 175 for eight.

Craig Kieswetter clubbed five sixes in a superb century as the EPP chased down a target of 248 to complete an impressive seven-wicket win.

Kieswetter took centre stage, dominating an opening stand of 104 with Yorkshire’s Adam Lyth before eventually falling for 113.

Skipper James Hildreth added a classy 63 from number three and, although he departed with 14 runs required, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes shepherded the EPP over the line, the duo finishing unbeaten on 24 and six respectively.

The squad will remain in Perth for another week of training and skills development, with the bowlers also working in support of the Test team ahead of the third Ashes Test at the WACA.
