FORMER Hampshire skipper Shane Warne was overshadowed on his return to t20 cricket with Melbourne Stars in Australia’s Big Bash competition.
Playing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday, Warne was upstaged by Sidney Thunder batsman David Warner’s pulsating century.
The left-handed opener smashed an unbeaten 102 off 51 balls to steer his side to a six-wicket win.
Warner hit Warne, whose two overs went for 19 runs, for two big sixes on the way to helping his side chase down Melbourne’s total of 153-4 in 19 overs.
