FORMER England assistant coach Mark Garaway, the Isle of Wight’s first professional cricketer, has encouraged Danny Briggs to develop his batting talent.

“It often happens that when someone goes up the ranks as quickly as Danny has done their second string doesn’t develop as quickly, but it wouldn’t take too much for him to catch up,” he says.

"Batting at number nine or ten is a very important position in one-day cricket and if Danny can get England home batting at ten that’s only going to help him."
