It rained runs in round nine of the Southern Electric Premier League programme, with a record 12 batsmen hitting centuries, six of them in the Premier Division - and three on one ground alone!
The treble triple came on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground, where Lewis McManus (103) and Tom Alsop (100) hit centuries in the Academy's 347-5 and James Taylor made an unbeaten 104 to ensure Totton & Eling drew. Eddie Abel hit a Premier Division best 138 for South Wilts, only to finish the match in Salisbury General Hospital with a fractured little finger.
Oli Mills hit 139 in a gallant Ventnor fightback but was unable to prevent a South Wilts win. Robert Gibson's second consecutive century eased Havant to a nine-wicket win over Lymington.
In Division One, Ben Thane struck 114 as Hook & Newnham Basics heightened Andover's relegation worries, while an undefeated 114 by Lewis Dunford swept Division 2 strugglers Sparsholt to victory over Totton & Eling, for whom Azeem Hamid made 119, but finished a loser.
The other centuries came in SPL3, where leaders Havant III piled up 336-3 at May's Bounty on the back of 140 for Andy Galliers and a maiden 118 from Simon Loat.
Steve Mitchell hit 109 in Portsmouth's mauling of Bournemouth II.
