The Southern Electric Premier League – with a helping hand from two Australians – beat the Kuwait national side by 24 runs in the opening Pepsi World Cricket League 50-over warm-up match at Newclose.
Bournemouth’s Victorian all-rounder Alex Keath cracked 104 – HIS fourth century of the season.
Keath shared in a century-plus opening stand with Oli Mills (59) before his Australian Academy teammate Travis Head weighed in with 70.
Keath had previously scored Southern Electric Premier League tons against Ventnor (116no), South Wilts (123) and St Cross (149no).
James Cheek (28) and Marc-Antony Eysele (23) chipped in before the Ventnor-raised Premier League XI collapsed in spectacular style, losing its last five wickets for 30 runs to finish with 322-9.
Led by Kashif Sharif, who hit a superb 131, Kuwait made 298-9 in reply, Head taking three wickets with his spin bowling.
