Hampshire’s Sean Terry will play ECB Southern Electric Premier League cricket for newly promoted Burridge this summer – when he is not required for the county.
The 24-year old top order batsman, who made LV= County Championship half-centuries against Worcestershire and Leicestershire last September, has played Premier League cricket for Bashley (Rydal) for the past two seasons, writes MIKE VIMPANY.
Last year’s Division 1 winners have also received two other significant pre-season boosts.
South African all-rounder Geoff Dods, who topped the SPL1 bowling charts with 42 wickets last summer, is returning for a second summer at Botley Road. He has recently led Cape Town to their first Western Province pennant title in 80 years, scoring over 300 runs and capturing 21 wickets.
Liphook & Ripsley all-rounder Jamie Richards has also joined Burridge, having skippered the East Hampshire club last season.
Richards scored 560 runs and took 26 wickets for Liphook, where he was captain last summer.
