A SOUTHAMPTON SAC team gave a good performance in the World Club Shore Angling Championships held in the Langabann region of South Africa.
In their first International event, they finished mid-table out of the 19 teams.
The team comprised of Alan Hayball, Kai Sutherland (captain), Bill Baynes, John Brown and Paul Strange.
The prominent species were guitar fish followed by rays.
During the second match over 3,500 fish – weighing just over two tons – were recorded and returned alive.
