STEVE Pomery and Dave Pool took an early lead in The Eastleigh Pairs Carp and Silvers League on Witherington Topmoor.
The pair, who both won their sections, amassed 37 points to win from Terry Hiscock and Jem Turner (34) with James Pitman and Paul Sear (32.5).
Individually Tony Huelin took 46 lb 12 oz of carp on pole and maggot in the margins.
Jem Turner finished second with 42 lb 10 oz of carp on pole and corn.

Cormorants held a club match on the Main Lake at Orchard. Perpetual winner Andy Hayden won from the golden peg, giving him a £200 pay day.
He took 92 lb 6 oz of carp to 8 lb on pole and maggot down the margins.
Phil Stride finished second with carp to 10 lb for a total of 73 lb 4 oz on pole and corn in the margins.

Tackle Up held a club match on the Lodge and Match Lakes at Dandys Ford.
On Lodge, Mick Cross took 55 lb 15 oz of carp to 10 lb on pole and corn from peg eight – meaning he won from Graham Miller with 32 lb 12 oz of carp on pole and pellet.
The Silver Pool went to Neil Stubbs with 14 lb 7 oz of roach, crucians and tench.
The Match Lake saw Simon Clarke win easily with 105 lb of carp on pole and maggot from peg four. Tony Rice finished second with 46 lb 10 oz of carp on pole and pellet from peg 20.

The Silver Fish Pool went to Maurice Saunders with 11 lb 2 oz of roach and skimmers.
Salisbury’s match on the club’s trout water at Amesbury went to veteran Frank Gumbleton who took 23 lb 12 oz of grayling, dace and chub on stick float and red maggot.
Charlie Wernham finished second with 18 lb 10 oz of grayling and dace.
