Sheffield Wednesday's outgoing owner Milan Mandaric will bid farewell to fans prior to Saturday's Sky Bet Championship game at Hillsborough against Cardiff.
Former Portsmouth and Leicester owner Mandaric, 76, sold his 100 per cent stake in Wednesday last week to Thai businessman Dejphon Chansiri for a reported £30million and will address fans ahead of kick-off.
It has not all been plain sailing for Mandaric during his four-year spell in control - he rescued the club from administration in December 2010 and contributed £7million towards wiping out debts in excess of £20million - but boss Stuart Gray said he deserved a big send-off.
"The most important thing I think is the chairman deserves to say cheerio to the supporters, thank them for their support and for them to get the opportunity to thank him," said Gray, promoted from assistant manager by Mandaric after Dave Jones had been sacked in December 2013.
Gray recalled the time he snubbed the chance to work with Mandaric at Portsmouth and said the Serbia-born businessman was not going to let it happen again.
"I had an opportunity to work with Milan when he was with Portsmouth many years ago when Harry (Redknapp) asked me to go in there and I was actually in work at the time and I've always been very loyal to the people I've worked for," Gray added.
"So when I got the invitation again to come and work here when Dave asked me to come in December 2013, I met the chairman one evening with Dave and he remembered me turning him down and I think it offended him.
"He said 'you're not going to turn me down this time' and I was very grateful that I got the opportunity to come and work with him.
"He's been very, very supportive. He is a 'football chairman' and there's not many left in the game now."
