SALISBURY City have been given the go-ahead to stage their mouth-watering FA Cup second round tie with Nottingham Forest at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.

And the cock-a-hoop Wiltshire club can look forward to a major cash bonanza with news that the match is to be broadcast live on BBC 1, guaranteeing them a cool £75,000.

The tie is all-ticket and the attendance at Old Sarum will be limited to 2,700.

There had been talk of the game being switched to Nottingham at the request of the police.

But Salisbury boss Nick Holmes confirmed: "The police and safety officers met yesterday afternoon and agreed it could be done at our place."
