The FA have pledged to look into the police bill that wiped the sheen off Havant & Waterlooville's dream' FA Cup tie with Millwall last Monday.

At the request of the police, the controversial tie was switched to Fratton Park and Hawks have been left £10,000 out of pocket after being hit with a £35,000 police bill.

An FA spokesman said: "We are not aware of a previous occasion when a club has suffered financial problems from an FA Cup tie and it does concern us. We want to speak to Havant & Waterlooville to hear their thoughts."

Havant, who were desperately unlucky to lose the tie 2-1, return to the bread and butter of the Conference South at home to Eastbourne Borough tomorrow.
