Hull have appointed Phil Brown as their manager until the end of the season after he impressed during his spell as caretaker boss.
Brown was assistant to Phil Parkinson until the former Colchester boss was sacked by Hull in early December after they had lost 4-2 at home to Saints.
Brown took over as caretaker boss and the Tigers have subsequently since recorded victories over promotion contenders Cardiff, Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday prompting chairman Adam Pearson to give him the job until the end of the season, with Colin Murphy remaining as his assistant at the KC Stadium.
