SYDENHAMS Wessex League title favourites AFC Totton have had a change at the top.
Richard Maton, chairman for the past two and a half years, has stood down, leaving vice-chairman Ian Shields and secretary Richard Vowles to temporarily take over the reins.
According to Shields, the Testwood Park club are unlikely to appoint a permanent successor to Maton until the summer.
ith the club currently gunning for glory on two fronts - the league and the FA Vase - they don't want to be disturbed by any major upheavals.
Shields, whose five years at Totton have included spells as reserve team manager, director of football and vice-chairman, confirmed: "Richard Vowles and myself will do the job jointly until the end of the season.
"The football side is going tremendously and the club itself is running quite well, so we don't want any big changes".
