The Hampshire Premier League’s top three division one clubs all enjoyed big wins.
Bush Hill maintained their lead by hitting Broughton for six without reply. Two-goal Perry Harding hit a goal in each half and James Lavender, Liam Keites and Terry Parker also netted.
Second-placed Hamble Club kept the pressure on with an even bigger away win, 7-0 at Durley.
Conor Rowe hit FOUR and Dean Byrne, Rob Lamb and Luke Watts also got on the scoresheet.
Hamble remain seven points adrift, with two games in hand.
But they have a big game against third-placed Lyndhurst tomorrow night. Lyndhurst will travel to Hamble on the back of a good win themselves.
Nyall O’Connor scored twice and Ashley Baddams and Dave King bagged one apiece in a 4-0 thumping of lowly Michelmersh & Timsbury, who were grateful for Upham’s home defeat against Andover Lions Kieran Shallow scored a goal in each half for second-from-bottom Upham, but Casson Spencer scored two second-half goals to ensure a 4-2 win for Andover.
Meanwhile, Hamble Club’s reserves completed a good weekend for the club by winning the top-of-the-table contest in the Combination Division, 3-0 at Paulsgrove, to extend their lead to seven points with five games in hand.
