LOCKS Heath threw away a 3-0 lead at lowly AFC Stoneham yesterday - and also possibly chucked away the chance of retaining their Puma Engineering Hampshire League title.
Locks stormed into a 3-0 lead at Stoneham, with Matt Northcott, Mike Dark and Jordan Neal on target.
But Stoneham hit back with three goals in the last 27 minutes from Luke Musselwhite (63 and 72) and Steve Jenkin (78) to draw 3-3.
That allowed Portsmouth club Baffins Milton Rovers to take over top spot from Locks on goal difference.
Blu Boam and Dean Harris both scored twice as Baffins, who have two games in hand on Locks, won 5-1 at Overton.
Baffins play the first of their games in hand today at Liphook Third placed Headley were held 2-2 at home by second bottom QK Southampton.
Richard McCann and Dan Gray twice put the hosts ahead, with Kevin Betlem and Peter Walker, the latter three minutes from time, levelling.
Winchester Castle threw away a 2-1 lead to crash 5-2 at Paulsgrove.
After Brett Farley had thrust the Portsmouth side ahead, Tom Egerton put Castle in control with two goals in the space of four second half minutes.
But Farley, Harry Griffin and Liam Horsted (2) all scored in the last 27 minutes.
Hedge End Rangers followed up their 5-0 Southampton Senior Cup final loss at St Mary’s to Sholing Reserves in midweek by losing 3-0 at home to Otterbourne.
Josh Harfield put the Otters ahead before Hedge End contributed two own goals.
First half goals from Dean Higgins and John Cole gave Colden Common a 2-1 home win over rock bottom Bournemouth Sports.
The prolific Kai Parton Edey was again on target as AFC Aldermaston won 5-2 at Liss. Martin King, Matt Hoyte, Karl Hanks and Jaime Porter also scored.
Steve Harding grabbed a brace as Liphook United defeated visiting Fleetlands 4-1.
