Eastleigh manager Jason Dodd denied suggestions that his side had been beaten by a soft' goal against old rivals Salisbury City on Saturday.
"Soft? It was shocking," said the ex-Saint after watching in disbelief as Paul Sales's header sneaked over the line in slow motion by the foot of the upright as Eastleigh's man on the post Danny Smith watched on.
"Danny said he thought it was going wide, which makes it even worse!"
Dodd added: "It was a bit of a stinker.
"To be fair to Danny, he got around the pitch after that and tried really hard to get us back into the game.
"I was pleased with our second-half performance - but then I had to be.
"It couldn't have been any worse than the first!"
