AFTER the sensational sacking of ex-Saints striker Nicky Banger as Romsey Town's commercial manager, doubts also surround the future of the club's advisor Clive Wilson.
Wilson began helping the Wessex League Division 1 club in an advisory capacity in November to help out with the business side of running the club.
Wilson, a former sponsor, president and vice-chairman at Eastleigh over the past decade, was also the man behind the appointment of Banger as Romsey's commercial manager.
But following Banger's sacking after just 17 days at the club, for allegedly tapping up players and announcing himself as the future team manager - allegations Banger denies - a tug-of-war has developed over Wilson and his expertise.
As he contemplates his next step in football, Banger insisted he was "100 per cent confident" that wherever and whenever he makes that step, Wilson WILL be alongside him.
But Romsey's manager Trevor Holmes insisted HE has Wilson's word that he would stay at the club if any problems developed following Banger's appointment.
