Hamble Club fell nine points behind leaders Baffins Milton Rovers after their home game against Fleetlands in the Hampshire Premier League was abandoned.
The referee called a halt to proceedings on 65 minutes after a torrential downpour.
Hamble were leading 2-1 at the time through first half goals from Shane Flooks and Luke Watts, and the league will almost certainly ask for the game to be replayed.
Baffins Milton won for the 14th time in 15 league games when they defeated visiting Stockbridge 5-2.
Dean Harris scored twice while Jason Parish and Blu Boam netted their 24th and 19th goals respectively of a prolific campaign.
Jason Couzens completed Rovers’ nap hand.
AFC Stoneham would have gone second had they not conceded two late goals to crash 2-1 at home to Liphook.
Sam Adams had given Stoneham a half-time lead, before Ryan Angear (87) and Matt Bonner (90) dramatically struck for Liphook.
QK Southampton are still bottom of the Senior Division despite a 4-2 win at Clanfield.
Nathan Gray (2), Kevin Betlam and Ryan Wagstaffe were on target, after Clanfield had taken a third minute lead.
Lowly Locks Heath were caned 4-0 at home by Paulsgrove, with Nathan Wall (2), Jay Eames and Sammy-Lee Kessack on target.
Nick Judd netted Winchester Castle’s consolation in a 4-1 loss at Headley, Curtis Thorne scoring twice for the hosts.
Two goals from Chris Lavisher in the space of eight second half minutes helped Overton triumph 3-2 at Liss.
