PORTSMOUTH survived an FA Cup scare this afternoon – coming within minutes of crashing out at home to non league opposition.
Six years after lifting the trophy at Wembley, League 2 Pompey needed an 81st minute leveller from Danny Hollands to sneak a 2-2 first round draw against north Hampshire visitors Aldershot.
The Shots, who included ex-Eastleigh and AFC Totton striker Brett Williams in their side, had trailed 1-0 early on to a Jed Wallace penalty.
But the Conference Premier club hit back to level just before half-time through Jordan Roberts, before ex-Bournemouth midfielder Mark Molesley fired them ahead on 68 minutes.
