WELL-KNOWN local football manager Danny Bowers has received one of the largest individual fines handed out by the Hampshire FA in recent years.
Bowers has been fined a whopping £300 by the county FA after being hit by THREE charges of bringing the game into disrepute in as many months.
He was twice reported for foul and abusive language towards the referee while managing Hamble in Wessex League matches against Horndean in early December and Gosport in January.
Bowers was reported for a third time after he was sent from the dug-out during Hamble's Wessex game against Cowes in early February.
Though there was no dissent involved that time, Bowers had been seen gesturing to spectators.
The Hampshire FA said his large suspension was due to the fact that Bowers had been hit by three separate charges.
