JOSE Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson marched on towards a possible Champions League final clash as their Chelsea and Manchester United teams swept into the semi-finals last night.
Mourinho, whose Chelsea team will play Liverpool in the semi-final should the Merseysiders make their 3-0 lead tell over PSV Eindhoven tonight, hailed his side's amazing team spirit after they fought back to win 2-1 in Valencia thanks to a sensational last-gasp winner from Michael Essien.
And Ferguson savoured the moment as his remarkable Manchester United side romped home 7-1 against Roma in front of a disbelieving Old Trafford crowd and will now face either AC Milan or Bayern Munich.
"It is an amazing situation for English football with three teams in the semi-finals of the competition," said Mourinho.
