DANNY SMITH used his head to grab Eastleigh what could turn out a priceless point against Eastbourne Borough at the Silverlake Stadium last night.
With his side trailing to a close range 19th-minute Pat Harding goal, Smith got involved as the ball was played into the Eastleigh penalty area in the 71st minute. And when the ball fell to him he looped a deliberate header over the keeper into the net.
Eastleigh had a couple chances to collect all three points after that, with Andy Forbes missing the best of them, but a point was a fair reward in an even contest.
