AFC TOTTON are looking for a flag maker so that they can proudly fly their colours on high at the new Wembley next month.
The Football Association have asked both Totton and their FA Vase final opponents Truro City to supply a giant flag that will be flown from London's magnificent £575 million super stadium on Sunday, May 13.
"When the FA asked us if we had a flag, we said what sort of flag, and they said one to put on the top of the stadium!" said Totton secretary Jason Tull.
"They're going to forward me the size later this week, but in the meantime we're looking for someone to come forward and make one for us."
"We don't have an official club flag design, but I'd imagine we'd want something big in blue and white with our stag logo on it."
Totton's assistant manager Sean New laughed: "I've got a Totton flag, but it's only about 3ftx4ft and I don't think you'd see it flying 500ft up on the top of the stadium!
"Truro immediately said they'd got a flag - they would have!" laughed New, referring to the Cornish club's weighty financial backing.
"We need help with one quickly and if there is a flag maker out there in the Southampton area we'd love to hear from them." Jason Tull is the man to ring on 07946 219475.
Meanwhile tickets, coach seats and merchandise for the big Wembley date will go on sale at Totton's Testwood Park clubhouse on Saturday week.
