GOSPORT Borough's 3-3 draw at Brading Town on Saturday has let AFC Totton right back into the race for the Sydenhams Wessex League title.

But with a massive FA Vase final just round the corner and three ultra-tough league games ahead, Totton boss Stuart Ritchie is not getting carried away with championship fever just yet.

The Stags have a hellishly difficult run-in, starting with a trip to bogey side Lymington Town tonight.

They then face form side VT FC at home on Saturday before hosting a possible title decider against Alex Pike's Gosport on April 28.

"We couldn't have picked three harder games," admitted Ritchie, whose side have already been held to a draw in the league and been knocked out of the Sydenhams Wessex League Cup by Lymington Town.

With Wembley permanently at the back of his mind, Ritchie is unlikely to field a full-strength side in any of Totton's remaining league games.

Right-back Kevin Reacord, hero of the Vase penalty shootout at Billingham Synthonia, is ruled out tonight having suffered a badly bruised instep in Saturday's 2-0 home win over Ringwood and Lee Stevens missed the Ringwood game having had stitches in a cut head.

And although Mark Osman returned from back problems to score both goals against Ringwood and Gareth Byres is playing again following ankle ligament trouble, Ritchie will be taking no risks with his talented squad ahead of the big Wembley showdown against Truro City on May 13.
