MOTTISFONT are set to appeal to the Hampshire FA after having three players sent off in a cup semi-final - which they still won despite only having EIGHT men for 70 minutes!
They defeated East Lodge 4-2 on penalties in the semi final of the Hampshire League's Trophyman Cup after the sides had been level at 1-1 after extra-time.
Portsmouth-based referee Chris Beech also sent off an East Lodge player after reducing Mottisfont to eight men.
Beech is no stranger to mass dismissals - he once sent SIX players off in a Portsmouth Senior Cup tie a few years back.
Mottisfont secretary John Fryer said: "The official is apparently well known and renowned for this sort of thing.
"We gave him (a mark of) 25 out of 100 and that is being generous".
Among the three Mottisfont players sent off was striker Michael Jackson, who has only recently resumed playing after a horror leg injury threatened to end his career.
