CONFERENCE National new boys Salisbury City have agreed new or extended contracts with several of their promotion-winning squad.
Manager Nick Holmes has confirmed that Southampton-based striker Paul Sales, ex-Saint Matt Robinson, Scott Bartlett, Jon Beswetherick, Danny Clay, Michael Fowler and goalkeeper Ryan Clarke will be staying with Whites as they prepare for life in the newly-named Blue Square Premier.
"We've agreed new contracts or, in Ryan Clarke's case, a contract extension with them," Holmes reported.
"Quite a few of the lads still have at least another season to run on existing deals. It's nice to get these things sorted".
Holmes has also revealed that Whites' long-serving player, Simon Browne, has been invited to become reserve team manager.
Browne - a veteran of some 300 appearances in two spells at Salisbury - was loaned to Dorchester Town late last season, but Holmes sees the defender's future at Old Sarum.
"Simon has a wealth of experience," said the boss. "We think he'd be the ideal person to be in charge of the reserves".
