ANDY Leader has put his Lymington & New Milton disappointment behind him to become manager of Southern 1 South & West rivals Winchester City.
When Leader became coach of the Linnets in December, it was on the understanding that he would eventually take over as boss when the time was right.
But the recent upheavals at Fawcetts Field unsettled him and he has beaten four other candidates to succeed Steve Moss at Winchester.
"I'm over the moon," said Leader. "It's a shame how things finished at Lymington, but I'm back to doing what I do best - being number one," smiled the former BAT and Christchurch boss.
