EX-Saint David Hughes admits "the buck stops with me" after being appointed as the main man in Eastleigh FC's new-look management structure.
The Spitfires have acted quickly following former manager Jason Dodd's return to Saints as first team coach last Thursday.
Hughes, who was Dodd's assistant, has been promoted to team manager with former first team boss Paul Doswell given the new title of football manager.
Ex-Dell favourite Mark Dennis is the new assistant manager, with Andy Spink, the former Saints fitness coach, now full-time and Steve Beck continuing as chief scout.
The final piece in the jigsaw will come when Eastleigh appoint a head coach.
"It's a strong management team," said Hughes, "but the buck will stop with me.
"In terms of having the final say on who plays, that decision will be mine."
