EASTLEIGH'S football manager Paul Doswell rated Saturday's 2-0 win at Braintree Town as one the best performances in his five years at the club.
The Spitfires owed Doswell and team boss David Hughes something special after a lack-lustre two-goal defeat at Bath City in midweek in the Blue Square Conference South.
And they certainly delivered with the best away display Doswell can remember since beating St Albans City a couple of years back.
"We were looking for a response after Tuesday night and, fair play to the players, we got it," he said. "Braintree's a tough place to go, but it could have been four or five."
