QPR boss John Gregory has challenged his side to celebrate the life of Ray Jones by defeating Saints tomorrow.

The 19-year-old striker was killed in a car crash in the early hours of last Saturday morning and this will be QPR's first game since then.

Last Saturday's game at Burnley was postponed as a mark of respect for the player who netted Rangers' winner at St Mary's last October.

There will be a minute's applause for Jones before the match and all the QPR team will be wearing his name on the back of their shirts.

It is sure to be a highly-charged atmosphere but when the whistle goes both teams will be intent on the three points.

Gregory said: "There will be a mixture of people at Loftus Road - regular fans who come here week after week, and others who will make that extra effort to be here to pay their respects to Ray.

"It would be fantastic to have a full house.

"I'm sure the fans will shout that little bit louder for Ray and for the team.

"The events of the last seven days have united the QPR family and in the long term we will all be stronger together - both fans and players".
