Eastleigh's new strike signing Justin Bennett requires a minor operation.
The former Andover hotshot belted over 60 goals last season, but missed the last month of the Lions' Wessex League campaign with knee problems.
The 23-year-old seemed well on the road to recovery when he signed for Conference South outfit Eastleigh in mid-May, but he has since discovered he needs surgery.
"It will only be a small operation, but we want him right and he should still be fit for the start of the season," reported Eastleigh's director of football David Malone. "What I can't believe is that he had the problem for about six weeks at Andover but didn't get any treatment."
