EX-EASTLEIGH striker Neville Roach has re-signed for Conference South rivals Basingstoke Town.
Roach, who enjoyed a successful first spell at The Camrose between 2002 and 2004, is Town boss Francis Vines's first close-season recruit on a one-year contract.
Roach, below, spent a loan spell at Oxford United last season, before returning to Eastleigh where he scored nine goals in 21 starts.
The tricky striker, who previously played professionally for Reading, Southend, Oldham and Torquay, was released by the Spitfires by mutual consent last month.
Former Crawley boss Vines said: "I am delighted to have Neville on board and have been a long-term admirer.
"I tried to bring him to my former club two years ago.
"Neville will be the first of a few new faces I will bring in over the summer."
Roach should make his Basingstoke return against League One Millwall in a friendly on Saturday, July 15.
Basingstoke have also announced the appointment of Steve Duly as their new commercial manager.
Duly is no stranger to non-League, having spent six years with Conference National outfit Crawley, first as managing director and latterly as director of football.
Along with taking on the responsibility of all commercial affairs, he will operate as general manager and work closely with first-team boss Vines on team issues.
