THEY will be going World Cup crazy at the Station Hotel in Southampton tomorrow.
Local football memorabilia man Jim Chamberlain will be bringing a star-studded collection of items to auction off at the pub in Buller Road, Bitterne, prior to England's World Cup quarter-final against Portugal.
Chamberlain has obtained a framed replica England shirt signed by all 23 members of England's World Cup party, plus a football signed by 22 - only ex-Saint Theo Walcott hasn't signed that. It's market value is around the £600 mark.
A 1966 replica England shirt signed by nine players of Sir Alf Ramsey's legendary winners only the late Bobby Moore and Sir Bobby Charlton have not autographed the iconic top will also be up for auction.
A similar memorabilia item was bought by Saints' second largest shareholder Leon Crouch for around £2,500 at Saints' 1976 FA Cup winners reunion dinner at the Southampton Guildhall in April.
As usual, a small gap has been left between Sir Geoff Hurst's signature at the very top and ex-Saint Alan Ball in respect for Moore.
Brazil and Argentina shirts signed by members of the current World Cup squads plus Brazil shirts signed by just Ronaldinho and Adriano a signed Wayne Rooney football boot and a football autographed by a host of Premiership players representing various nations competing in Germany are other auction items.
The auction starts at 1pm and should last 45 minutes.
