FOOTBALLERS will no longer get a free lunch at their Hampshire training ground.
Pompey players can currently eat for free at the club’s facility in Eastleigh and even treat agents while staff at headquarters have to pay for their own food. Now, in an effort to claw back money, the cash-strapped club has said those enjoying the slap-up meals will have to pay a subsidised rate of £40 per month.
A club spokesman said the decision would improve equality among staff.
