Totton & Eling top-scorer Chris Marwood will play his last game for the club tonight – before making the short trip across Little Testwood Farm to join AFC Totton.

The 29-year-old striker, whose weekend double against Brading Town took his tally to 13 Wessex League and Cup goals in 15 games, has delayed the move while the Millers have been struggling to cope with a long list of absentees.

But now that situation is improving he will join the Stags after T & E’s home clash with Fawley.

For Marwood the move will give him another crack at Southern League football, having played at that level for Bashley and Salisbury in his younger days.

Millers manager Kev Dawtry, pictured right, said: “We knew about it last Monday and I had a chat with Chris and he said I will talk to Stuart Ritchie.

“Chris said he wanted to give it a go.

“It’s a higher level and you can never stop people going higher."
