Leicester City now represent a “massive threat” to Saints’ automatic promotion hopes.
That is the view of former Dell ace Gordon Watson after Nigel Pearson was re-appointed manager of the Foxes.
And Watson believes the man controversially axed as Saints boss three years ago “will go right to the top.”
Pearson this week returned to the King Power Stadium for a second spell, after leaving his job at Hull.
He replaces Sven Goran Eriksson, who was canned after a mediocre start to the season.
Leicester are currently 12th in the Championship, 14 points behind leaders Saints.
But Watson believes the Foxes are serious title contenders again now that Pearson is at the helm.
“They’re a massive threat,” said Watson.
