Winchester City are resigned to losing former Saints striker Jamie White to AFC Bournemouth.
The 21-year-old from Harefield has bagged 18 goals in 12 games for the Sydenhams Wessex Premier high fliers since recovering from two knee reconstructions, a broken leg and a dislocated ankle.
White has been on trial with Cherries for several weeks and, as a Wessex player, can sign beyond today's Football League loan deadline.
Winchester chairman Paul McCarthy said: "Losing Jamie would be a big blow but we won't stand in his way.
"He's a terrific kid and a terrific player and he deserves some luck after all the injuries he's had."
