AFC Totton manager Stuart Ritchie missed last night’s training session at the Testwood Stadium - so he could watch Duran Duran!
With the FA Cup on show while striker Stefan Brown was being presented with the Player of the Round award for last month’s hat-trick, Ritchie decided to avoid the media glare.
Instead he went to see the 1980s chart toppers at the Bournemouth International Centre in a concert re-arranged from May.
No doubt he will Save a Prayer for Sunday’s second-round match against Bristol Rovers after taking the Stags’ final pre-match training session tomorrow morning. It could be the club’s Finest Hour.
Don't miss today's Daily Echo for an irreverent guide to the Stags squad from Sean New, Ritchie's right-hand man, and tomorrow's edition for FIVE pages previewing AFC Totton v Bristol Rovers.
This weekend's Sports Pink will have another TEN pages of AFC Totton v Bristol Rovers previews.
