AFC Totton's FA Cup dream was shattered this afternoon as they suffered a 6-1 home defeat by Bristol Rovers in the second round.
Three superb goals inside the first 13 minutes effectively ended the live televised tie as a contest.
First, Joe Anyinsah lashed the opener in from just inside the penalty area before Mustapha Carayol and Danny Woodards fired shots from outside the area past a stunned Stags keeper Grant Porter.
Carayol had to be taken off before half-time by his manager Paul Buckle after being booked for a touchline fracas with Stags assistant manager Sean New.
Rovers skipper Bryon Anthony made it 4-0 in the second period before Nathaniel Sherborne gave the majority of the 2,200 plus attendance something to cheer by heading Totton's consolation, which was more than deserved.
Young Rovers sub Elliot Richards had the final say, first producing another stunning finish before slipping in the final goal of the match in the closing seconds.
Rovers finished with ten men after sub Ben Swallow was sent off for a studs up challenge late on.
