VT FC are not ready to climb the non-League pyramid just yet.
But when their moment comes they would love to progress with the understated style of Saturday's FA Cup conquerors Salisbury City.
Although VT manager Dave Diaper admitted the 3-0 scoreline "sticks in the throat a bit" given the quality of his side's performance, he couldn't help but admire the professionalism that has taken Whites to the top of the Conference South.
Diaper's programme notes praised Salisbury for "quietly going about their business without the razzmatazz and ballyhoo that is normally associated with a high-profile club."
