WINCHESTER City have signed Chris Flood following his release from Eastleigh in May.
The 23-year-old got his senior break with Winchester seven years ago and went on to play for Farnborough, Brentford, QPR, Salisbury and Dorchester.
He joined Eastleigh in November 2011, initially on loan, and finished last season on loan at the Spitfires' Conference South rivals Maidenhead.
“Chris has played one-and-a-half games for us and looks very sharp. He’s a clever player,” said City boss Graham Kemp.
Full-back/midfielder Danny Reeve has also re-signed for Sydenhams Wessex new boys Winchester, who beat Southern League outfit Fleet Town 2-1 on Saturday through Tom Price and Dan Thompson.
"It was our second win of the week over higher league opponents following the 3-1 defeat of AFC Totton on Tuesday," said delighted director of football Dave Malone.
"This concludes a run of six pre-season games, all of which were won!
"Manager Graham Kemp and coach Jim Totczyk have attracted a host of talented players to the Denplan City Ground, including the likes of Liam Green, Lloyd Webber, Chris Mason, Leigh Mills and most recently Chris Flood - all of whom have played at a higher level."
Denplan, Winchester’s long-term backers, have penned a three-year extension to their sponsorship. They will be joined by a host of new sponsors, including Safe & Sound, Baylis & Harding, Holiday Inn and Greene King.
The club have reduced admission prices for this Saturday's mouth-watering Sydenhams Premier opener at home to Moneyfields (3pm). Entry is £5 adults, £3 concessions and £1 for children under 12.
