A CLINICAL hat-trick by former Winchester City and Bashley striker Mark Gamble fired Wimborne through to the FA Cup first qualifying round tie for the first time in four years.
But, following the 3-2 home win over St Austell, Magpies boss Steve Cuss was bemused by the dismissal of Jon Blake for two yellow cards, ruling him out of the next round at Frome on September 13.
“I had no complaints with the first booking, but the second one was extremely harsh,” he said. “Jon’s jump was slightly mistimed and he caught the St Austell player, but there was nothing deliberate and it shouldn’t have been a yellow.”
