SALISBURY City were this week given a fortnight to resolve their financial difficulties and avoid being wound up.
The crisis-hit Wiltshire club were ordered on Monday to find £14,000 to settle debts with HM Revenue & Customs.
City have been plagued by off-field issues throughout the summer and currently have no league to play in.
They were demoted from the Conference Premier to the Conference South in June for failing to pay outstanding debts and were thrown out of the Conference altogether two weeks later having missed a second deadline.
An appeal against the club’s demotion was subsequently dismissed by the Football Association and last week City's application to join the Sydenhams Wessex League was rejected.
Meanwhile, the ongoing club ownership dispute is due to be heard in the High Court tomorrow (Thursday).
