AFC BOURNEMOUTH managers past and present are to turn out in support of former Bashley and Poole Town favourite Andy Culliford this weekend.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp will manage the Select XI team for Cully’s charity match at Poole’s Tatnam Ground on Sunday, (September 7, 4pm), while current Cherries manager Eddie Howe and his assistant Jason Tindall have agreed to play.
Culliford is suffering with motor neurone disease. He continues to work for Dorset Fire & Rescue, but is now office bound. He has a young family to support as well as having to pay for his own life-saving drugs at a cost of £180 a day.
Sunday's match features a Poole Town XI ( Andrew's former team mates ) v a Select XI ( Andrew's former opponents and ex-professional footballers ). Admission is £7 adults, £5 senior citizens, £2 under-16s, and free for under-12s.
Ex-Saints Jo Tessem and Ian Baird and QPR’s Charlie Austin are also getting behind the fund-raiser along with ex-Bournemouth trio Steve Fletcher, Warren Cummings and Marcus Browning.
Donations can be made to the Andy Culliford Benefit Fund: NatWest Acc # 46136738, Sort Code # 52-41-37.
