PETERSFIELD Town have been crowned 2014/15 Sydenhams Premier Division champions – just a year after winning Division One.
Ian Saunders’ men edged over the winning line with a 1-0 home triumph over Lymington Town on Saturday.
Lewis Hyde scored the title-clincher on 58 minutes, lifting the Rams out of reach of second-placed Winchester City with 90 points.
Petersfield went gunning for another piece of silverware this evening, but lost the Portsmouth Senior Cup final 4-2 to Havant & Waterlooville at Westleigh Park.
Andy Todd and ex-Winchester wideman Mike McEnery were on target for the Wessex champions.
