Hampshire's Neil Raymond is through to the quarter-finals of the British Amateur Championship.
The Corhampton player demolished Slovenian ace Tim Gornick 7&6 in this afternoon's last-16 encounter, at Royal Cinque Ports, Kent.
That followed on from his 3&2 win against Aberdeenshire's Adam Dunton in the previous round this morning.
Raymond, 27, is currently in tremendous form, having come into this event fresh from his victory in the St Andrews Links Trophy.
The double Brabazon champion is playing for one of the biggest prizes in world amateur golf this week, with the winner of the British Amateur earning a place in next month's Open Championship, the 2014 US Open and, traditionally, an invitation to next year's Masters, at Augusta.
Raymond, who intends to turn professional after this season, will play his last-eight match against his England colleague and fellow Walker Cup candidate, Garrick Porteous, tomorrow morning, with a semi-final in the afternoon if he advances. The 36-hole final is scheduled to take place on Saturday.
