US Open champion Justin Rose has withdrawn from this week's AT&T National, citing fatigue following his victory at Merion earlier this month.
The news comes as a further blow to the tournament, which benefits the Tiger Woods foundation, with Woods pulling out last week due to an elbow injury.
In a statement issued via tournament organisers, 2010 winner Rose said: ''I'm disappointed to withdraw from the AT&T National, but the last three weeks have been extremely demanding both mentally and physically.
''This tournament has been very good to me - especially in 2010 - and I would play if I felt I could. Tiger and his Foundation run a great tournament, and I wish I could be there.''
Hampshire ace Rose honoured a commitment to play in the Travelers Championship in the week after his first major victory, finishing joint 13th on Sunday.
