The New Forest Golf Club is celebrating its 125th anniversary next month.
The course, which is based near Lyndhurst, was opened back in 1888.
To mark the occasion, a Texas scramble competition will be held on Saturday, August 17, followed by a hog roast, barbecue and live music.
The 125th anniversary pro-am tournament will take place on Friday, September 13.
There has already been reason for celebration at the club this week, after some notable success at the Hampshire Open.
Golf manager and professional Chris Tyrrell finished in a tie for third, while fellow New Forest pro Michael Lord was runner-up to Ampfield’s Jon Barnes in the prestigious event.
“We are constantly trying to put the club on the map, and to compete among the calibre of players that were in the Hampshire Open, and to do so well, is great for us,” said Tyrrell.
